SOMETHING SCARY
Let’s add it all up… a fifty hour office week… Two middle school AYMS, a Howard County Theology on Tap (what a nice receptive crowd), and an overnight confirmation retreat with 9th graders up at the diocesan retreat house… Hang out with the kids, visit a friend recovering from surgery (shamelessly flirting with her senior citizen mother- - - ah, the shame!)… actually attempting to be intention about on-line homework. Sooooo, twice within a week’s time I have a too busy laundry list of activity and why I have not blogged. On the flip side, personal photographer Becki has added pics of me to the site. So, there, if I’m not blogging, at least I’m trying to toss up my face on the internet! << Work Day >>

TOMMY, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Middle School AYM tonight involved a favored ice-breaker: "Scott Says." Came home and made brownies for the kids but spilled the first batter. Erotic images of Ann Margaret and Hershey’s syrup from the rock opera movie Tommy immediately raced to the surface of my conscious. OK, that was fun- clean up the spilled batter and start over again. << Culture >>

SIGH
It has been busy. The computer crashed which slowed down updates to the site. Sorry. Was away fro an overnight at O’Dwyer with a junior class retreat… did the Sunday and Tuesday middle school thing again… scouted the Theology on Tap crowd… went to a "Whose Line is it Anyway?" comedy concert at son’s college… working on the conference… It has been busy << Work Day >>

HITTING IT
Working with seventy middle schoolers at the parish, the vibe of teaching/ public speaking just was hitting it. Ice-breakers, bing; working the scriptures with kids acting them out of sorts, bang; a short but meaty metaphor, boom. A good afternoon! << Parish >>

NO OPPORTUNITY WASTED
The passion spoken of below was exhausted by the end of the week. Daughter Meghan is visiting for the weekend and taking time with her siblings. We are both resting alot. Yet, I am challenged by a cable show title- NOW- No Opportunity Wasted. It’s a thought! << Family + Friends >>

WHAT A DAY
What a day this has been, What a rare mood I’m in, Why it’s, almost like being in love. The old lyrics apply. It has been a day— staff meeting, searching for a miniature golf course, financing trolleys in downtown Pittsburgh, posting on the roommate board, working with my own parish youth ministry despite no family impact from parish youth ministry, posting on-line homework. The must be some passion that motivates this day. What a day this has been, What a rare mood I’m in, Why it’s, almost like being in love.
All praise to St. Caffeine, the Father of Modern Youth Ministry << Work Day >>

Already, I have missed a day. YIKES! Added a new power point this weekend after presenting at home diocese Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Institute. Heard Dr. Robert Wicks as the keynote- he was excellent, << Blogging >>

HONEY, I’M HOME
After many attempts, the website is up and running. Whew, what a relief. This has many benefits for me. I now have wireless access which makes work from home easier. Furthermore, we have broken whatever mysterious code that was blocking our efforts, and the game is on! I hope to be much more diligent regarding updating the blog. Time will tell! << Blogging >>
