Our youth ministry efforts far too often are directed around that we “love being a youth pastor. (We) have ideas, and (we) get to inspire and envision people to produce (our) programs.” – - Remember these very same words from last Monday?
In calling for flexible and adaptable programming in catholic youth ministry, Renewing the Vision called for us to move beyond the singular youth group model and into “youth groupings.” Do we now program towards those who might desire plain, spicy, cheesy, light, robusto, or extra chunky youth ministry? Have we establish Grey Poupon youth ministries at the expense of exclusion? Are we still serving the same “Platonic Dish,” our own signature dish that we have been serving?
