Please review the video clip for all the details as to why we are discontinuing the Catholic Youth Ministry blog as of today.
We hinted at this yesterday on the blog as well as Monday and Sunday so everyday readers should have had a hint something like this might occur.
Please keep our entire blog staff in your thoughts and prayers. We have suggested that they all try out for their homeland’s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire over there in India in hopes that they will find love and/or make a fortune in rupees.
Condolences can be submitted through the comments link in the lower right section of this post.
Thank you for your viewership.
Goodbye, Farewell, Amen.

What a bunch of knit-wits…

What a relief! I’ve been praying for you. I’ve recognized your talent and I am so happy that you’ve finally chosen to embrace your true calling as a religious educator… I’d be happy to give you tips on how to combind knitting with felt for catechetical work!

I could use a sweater with all of our YM event logos integrated into the knitting. We have a little money left over in the budget, and I think it would be a good investment for me to sport such a sweater at our events. Knowing your talent for combining seemingly meaningless things together on the blog… well, you know… a sweater.

Scott, we at WLP understand the changing needs of youth ministers. I will be sure to share this information with the staff and know that we will continue to look at new ways we can support your ministry! Right off the top, I’m thinking we can add to our “Pray Today” Series, perhaps a new title,”Prayers for Knitters.”… “Lord, help us to tangle” We’ll keep thinking….
You are great! thanks!

Well it is about time D Scott Miller got rid of his blog, really it was not all that useful. And honestly knitting? Scott you need to be caught up with the times… Life Teen is so beyond knitting, they are actually giving all the Youth Ministers who sign up for their summer conference a “Life Teen Snuggie”! A full body blanket for walking or resting with the trendy Life Teen logo is way cooler than a hockey jersey that is two sizes too small. Maybe now something will actually be accomplished by all the Youth Ministers who wasted their time on here “learning” about youth ministry and adolescent catechesis. Well praise God you have made this bold move Scott at the beginning of the month! And oh by the way, I decided to embrace my nick name as “guywithcoolhair” by shaving my head completely bald… I wanna go for the Mike Patin style (except without the dorky glasses). Scott good luck with knitting, maybe if you start working now, we could have Archbalt sweaters for NCYC!!! Peace! Joe Mele

Today, the world has truly lost a visionary in youth ministry. D. Scott Miller had an uncanny ability to weave his understanding of theology with his unique blend of humor to affect change in the US Church.

Honestly, does anyone ever visit this blog page or read this stuff anyhow?
If I had not checked my SPAM folder this morning, I would not have even seen the e-mail announcement.
There may have been one or two useful things on here over the past few years, but all in all it is no huge loss to the youth ministry world. I think that Scott will have a much bigger impact selling his knitted items on e-bay and at flea markets.
Good luck Scott – and God bless your new endeavors! Happy April 1st you you too!

What is a blog? Why is a blog? Where is a blog? When is a blog? Who is a blog?

Well, *tears* I am so distraught about this whole ending. Seems that life is just chapters of goodbyes. I just don’t know what to say.
Wait a minute, is this that conflicker compter worm virus that was going to hit today?
gotta go and run my anti-virus, and maybe this whole thing will go away.
