They couldn’t stop talking about it… Not that they agreed on much of any of it, about the only thing that they could agree upon was that they needed to leave Jerusalem. Yet, this wasn’t a “so excited, can’t believe it, I just can stop talking about it.” Not at all, this was a disappointed, a despondent, a disconsolate
dialogue. They were so down, that they could barely see straight.
So, when the Master who they mourned for dead came walking up along side of them, well, “their eyes were prevented from recognizing him.”
And then the question, “What are you discussing as you walk along?” They stopped, looking downcast. Luke 24: 15-19.
