Insight is just like that. The moment that you see things clearly, you recognize what you are about, the master plan, the Master, even…. and then it everything disappears.
Now, the next step is where it all gets tricky. You can deny that it actually occurred. That’s certainly the easy way out. But, they did not. They could not. They had been changed just a moment ago and it was not ephemera or temporary, it was real.
“Where not our hearts,” they asked each other, “just burning within us?”
They changed course at that moment. Their day’s travels were complete. Yet, they got up to journey anew.
They changed course at that moment. They had been on the road to Emmaus and now they found themselves on that same road, returning to Jerusalem.
There, they found the companions with whom they earlier chose to abandon the story and now shared a new tale with new meaning and the discovery of a new life – - all from the insight that they received while he sharing in the familiar act of breaking and sharing bread at table.

Did you know that that’s about how we came up with our name?
