In a much earlier life, I used to take kids Bouldering. There were all sorts of little stunts that we would do atop Mount Haycock – climb an chimney rock face, hang from our cliff by our toes, but none were as intimidating as the jump at the “summit.”
There were two rock formations at the top. They were not all that far apart, but there was a 15-20 foot drop between them. You were also above the tree line, so it was also plausible that you could over jump it and fall forever down the side of the hill. But, remember, that the jump was very do-able. It just involved a simple decision. Is this too nutty to do or do I
have the guts to attempt it?
People do not get converted just because someone was kind enough to listen to the content of their lives. People do not get converted just because they found themselves so intrigued or enthralled by the content presented to them. People do not even get converted when both come together and it makes sense and they are encouraged to make a difference. People experience conversion when they make a choice. They choose their own personal response to a moment like: “Where not our hearts,” they asked each other, “just burning within us?”
