When she was in fourth grade, my youngest daughter’s favorite holiday song was Christmas Shoes.

So, imagine how upset she was this evening to discover that her April Fools co-star Orin Johnson of Oddwalk had wrote a <brilliant> parody of the very same song.

Orin’s version is told not from the from the perspective of the businessman who has his heartstrings pulled, but from voice of the kid plucking on them there heartstrings. You can download it from Oddwalk’s site.

You’ve got to give it a listen… You’ll never be able to listen to Christmas Shoes the same again…  which upsets Meghan!

That’s all from here…  back to playing my Ninetendo DS.

  2. Love it! The original song crossed that line between sentimental and sappy for me….by a ton. But this is a great improvement – with a moral ending! Thanks, guys!
