Back in the day, before a plethora of motivational posters was available, there was an early version that featured a kitten hanging from a branch with the encouragement to Hang in There, Baby!
Winter wraps up tomorrow and it can have been a difficult time for folks, emotionally, spiritually, programmatically. . . So, hang in there, baby. Here comes spring. We survived the snopocalypse and the local forecasters are calling for a 70 degree day tomorrow.
Ahhh, if that was just enough… Over at Steve Blanchard’s YouthMinistryIdeas.net site, he recently offered some recommendations regarding how to last in youth ministry. … build on values not fads, build a team, Keep Christ at the center; and keep growing yourself are just a few of them … These are just a few of them.
Check out the whole list. Is there anything you would add?

I’d add making sure you keep balance in your life between job and family. Don’t leave the “leftovers” of yourself for your own family!

ha ha, I had one of those posters in my younger years. Taking Holy Week to catch my breath and keep myself and my family centered on Christ.

Wow….I distinctly remember that poster from my childhood dentist’s office. They had it hanging on the ceiling, so when you were leaning back in the dentist chair, that’s all you’d see for about 40 minutes. Crazy how things come back to you!
