It’s funny… As soon as I saw this, I “shared” it on facebook. By coincidence or sheer petty lifting of the link, my beloved chaplain, Father Austin, posted it on his esteemed blog… and then I forgot about it… and didn’t share this with you, until now.
OK, so I have the youth ministry facial hair… But, I have only been clean-shaven for a handful of days since I graduated high school with Abraham Lincoln.
My car and office have their days but I’m getting better about that. Sports… seriously? I’m thrilled to hit a good shot in Basketball or make a pass in football. I rather win on strategy than skill. No way on the video games. Updating the web site… c’mon really?
But, did we forget to mention the “borrowing” that we all do (especially this site?)

Brilliant.
My car and office are both a total mess. The foot well behind the drivers’ seat is such a good place to dispose of those snacks you buy at the petrol station and eat while you are driving along. I don’t do too badly on the sports thing, but I do a little far too much video games (www.blastbilliards.com). Never irresponsible (well, not over anything serious). As for trying to look cool, I gave up on that years ago!! I try to look comfortable and relaxed. I think that’s better.
One interesting thing… for years in youth ministry I resisted owning a hoodie. I saw other youth workers wearing them and thought ‘what a stereotype.’ But then somebody brought me one and they are just so comfortable and useful – I mean, that extra large pocket… it’s brilliant for my iPhone!
