Vatican City – It occurred over the USA’s Labor Day weekend, so many might have missed it, but Pope Benedict XVI has released his message for the next World Youth Day to be held in Madrid 2011.
The Pope also looked at the theme for the next World Youth Day: "Planted and built up in Jesus Christ, firm in the faith". He encourages young people to "strengthen (their) faith in God" to encounter Christ and be witnesses of faith in him, without compromise.
The Holy Father reminds young people that… the Church depends on you! She needs your lively faith, your creative charity and the energy of your hope. Your presence renews, rejuvenates and gives new energy to the Church. That is why World Youth Days are a grace, not only for you, but for the entire People of God.
The message is addressed to all young people, whom the Pope hopes to meet at the next World Youth Day in Madrid 2011.
