News from Around Last night, Hines Ward was on Dancing with the Stars live from Los Angeles… but he practiced last week in his hometown for a special reason… PITTSBURGH, PA – Hines Ward’s dance studio is on the South Side last week The Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver and his "Dancing With The Stars" partner, Kym Johnson, are hard at work in the Steel City, following a special honor on Thursday night. Ward received the Art Rooney Award at a dinner that benefits the Catholic Youth Association, Rooney’s favorite charity. He was honored for his contributions to the community. Check out WTAE Channel 4’s report. It must be awards season. RANDOLPH, MA — It was a night to honor youth and adults who bring Christ to their parishes and the wider community. On April 5, a combined 119 middle school and high school-age youth, young adults and adults who serve the Church and their communities in a variety of ways, received awards recognizing them for their service. The awards were presented at the third annual Office for the New Evangelization of Youth and Young Adults Awards Banquet at Lombardo’s in Randolph. Read the the Boston Pilot story. |
Last Sunday, we were still in family reunion mode with a tour of the oldest daughter’s updated work setting and dinner. The next day was breakfast with “Auntie Kristin,” a run to the airport to deposit the youngest daughter, and the O’s home opener. Awesome times. |
