Randy Raus of LifeTeen has a great post last week regarding the value of youth ministry towards the vibrancy of a parish faith community.
He notes, for the Church, that the future is now. Citing a survey that indicates bleak prospects that future involvement in the Catholic faith for current teens who are not involved in their parish during high school, Randy indicated that “Parishes that are waiting for people to get involved when they are older, the chances of that plan working are quickly fading.”
Randy advocates that where you find vibrant youth ministry you are likely to find a vibrant parish! The whole post is worth checking out and possibly even forwarding to your parish council or finance committee! <image source>
