Look around next time you are in Walmart and you will get the clue that Halloween is approaching. Which means All Saints is also on the way. So here is a YouTube from LifeTeen for you to use. All treat, no trick.
We are all called to holiness.
1 Peter 1 tells us Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, live soberly, and set your hopes completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Like obedient children, do not act in compliance with the desires of your former ignorance but, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct, or it is written, “Be holy because I [am] holy.”
And, that always sounds a little bit much until you look at this wonderful video LifeTeen put together and recognize sainthood is much about the big things as it is about the little choices as well.
Pope Benedict reminds us that God calls us to holiness. He calls us to follow more closely to Christ, striving to transform this world with the power of love to God and neighbor. He calls us to look at the example of saints and martyrs, let us ask the Lord to inflame our hearts, that we are capable of loving as He has loved us.
