Yes, this video is aimed squarely at parents.
BUT…
Consider the demands it makes of us a youth ministers!
Hear, O Israel’s youth ministry types! The LORD is our God, the LORD alone! (seriously, you ain’t it! – not even close!) Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart, and with your whole being, and with your whole strength.
We should take to heart these words which I command you today. We need to empower parents so that they might keep repeating them to their children. We need to encourage parents to recite them when they are at home and when they are away, when they lie down and when they get up. We are to guide parents in binding these words on their arm as a sign- (won’t kids interested in body art be fascinated!) and let them be as a pendant on your forehead. Each doorpost and gate should have this message written upon them.
Now, really, is your ministry limited to the the forty hours of contact YOU have this year or have you started to make a dent into the 3,000 hours (That four non-stop months worth of time!) that a parent has…>? h/t benjer
