(There is one expletive in this video that would earn it a PG rating– You have been advised,)
If I was running a parent meeting this fall, I download this video (how??) to show it to parents to share some love on them in appreciation for the sacrifices that they do make on behalf of their young people.
We have called attention to this before that noted youth ministry author Kenda Dean suggests that parents consider getting “radical” about faith. She believes that parents who perform one act of radical faith in front of their children convey more than a multitude of sermons and mission trips. Dean contends that it is not enough to only get radical; we need to explain, she says, that “this is how Christians live.”
“If you don’t say you’re doing it because of your faith,” Dean adds, “kids are going to say ‘my parents are really nice people.’ It doesn’t register that faith is supposed to make you live differently, unless parents help their kids connect the dots.”
Parents, especially Grace Elizabeth’s dad at the 1:24 mark, are already heroic. Let’s encourage them to be heroic ion faith as well.

I just love the look on his face! I can remember having that look on my face at several different moments when my children were young!
