I passed this along to one of my liturgical ministry inclined co-workers because it struck my funny-bone about their ministry.
One of my favorite church ministry jokes regards the differences between a liturgical minister and a terrorist. The punch line acknowledges that you can, at least, negotiate with a terrorist.
And… just to be fair…
How many youth ministers does it take to change a light bulb?
Eight.
One to actually do the work of changing the light bulb while the other seven, who would have remained in the dark otherwise, “share in the experience” of the transformation and take credit for it in their next report to their pastor.
