We just wrapped up our youth conference this weekend. 450+ souls gathered for the Baltimore Youth Catholic Conference in Ocean City, Maryland. it was a good time. Steve Angrisano did a wonderful job leading our youthful participants in a reflection on what it means to heroically Assemble as Church in today’s world.
And, now, it is over… Not just the conference, but the fall season. This morning, despite much weary stiffness from a weekend with too much activity and too little sleep, I went in top unpack, process out the collection ($1500 was raised to support CRS and the Archdiocese of New York Catholic Charities efforts with victims of Hurricane Sandy).
There is still some evaluation and processing to figure out… but it is over. Fall with orientation, classes, program planning, and the conference is done… We are ont Winter?Spring with the March for Life, our Bosco Day, two weekend youth programs, all wrapping up with our annual Palm Saturday Pilgrimage. (The season after that is summer with hiring, camps, and World Youth Day.)
I hope to return to slightly more regular blog posting in this new season as well. We will see…. It is good to be done with one season. Bit, it is good to be engaged with the next. Can you clearly delineate the seasons of your schedule? (I bet for many Confirmation works into a Calendar touchstone) Is it any different or vastly different than mine?
